Crock Pot Chuck Roast
Recipe courtesy of Table for Two
1 3 - 4 lb chuck roast (fat trimmed)
1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
1 packet dry Au Jus gravy mix
1 stick unsalted butter (8 table spoons)
1/4 cup water (hint: I forgot the water and it still turned out great)
Directions:
1. Place chuck roast in the bottom of the crock pot
2. Season with both of the dry seasoning packets
3. Cut the stick of butter into 4 portions and place on top of the meat
4. Turn the crock pot on low for 6 - 8 hours, or until the meat reaches an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees
5. Remove meat from the slow cooker and shred
6. Spoon juices on top of the meat and enjoy
Yes, it is that easy and that good.
